ORLANDO

“I am nature’s bride.”

Midway through his 400 year existence, Orlando wakes to find himself a different sex. Jesse Belle-Jones adapts Virginia Woolf’s novel exploring the fluidity of time, gender, love, and nature where the only thing constant is change. Join Orlando’s joyful journey through one wild and precious life this spring, directed by Alyza DelPan-Monley.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING

“You and I are too wise to woo peaceably.”

For drag king Benny Dick and nightclub femmecee Beatrice, love is a real drag. Adapted by and co-produced with Jo Jo Stiletto, Noveltease Theatre’s production of Much Ado About Nothing reimagines the play in the context of queer nightlife in post-Stonewall Seattle in a production filled with witty banter, disco music, and pure queer joy, directed by Verity Germaine and choreographed by Fosse Jack and Flossy Beatrice.

Cabaret Series

RHYTHM & RHYME

Rhythm & Rhyme is Noveltease Theatre's cabaret series pairing burlesque, poetry, and live music. Each salon focuses on a different poetic movement or theme, with a rotating cast of burlesque performers, bands, and featured poets to bring salacious sonnets, ribald rhymes, and comely cantos to life in an atmosphere of frivolity and intellectual curiosity.

This season, we’re keeping it all in the family by producing this showcase at Theatre Off Jackson! Join us on February 15, April 5, and July 26 for poems, songs, and striptease in TOJ’s upstairs space. Plus, all tickets for R&R are now available on a sliding scale, with prices between $5 and $25 — whatever suits your wallet. (And if you have any extra dollars in your wallet, please feel free to bust those out and tip the performers during the show!)
